Organizational Fractals: Understanding the PMO as a System

Presentation Description

How are IT governance, project management, and program management all the logical manifestation of the same basic principles?  What are the underpinning structures of all PMOs in almost every organization?   Take a step back from specific PMO implementations and review the fundamental structure of a project management organization, and how the PMO is a visible representation of a recurring organizational structure.  In understanding the mechanics of this structure, further your own understanding of how the various pieces and parts of a PMO fit together.

This presentation offers you a practical mental framework to provide context for PMO related discussions.   After attending this presentation, you will be able map the other presentations to this framework and understand better how to structure a portfolio management office.
